Willard is a movie about a guy who befriends rats and turns them into an army against his boss. It's based on the book Ratman's Notebooks by Stephen Gilbert. The Ratman, Willard, relates more to his rats than he does to humans. This sad identification with the earliest mammal eozostrodon represents natural being in it's natural state. Something human being are rarely capable of because for us everything is filtered through our interpretive lenses. Yet even a dead baby rat caught in your trap can be a little china doll head rolling toward an overwhelming question. The overwhelming question of dedication, passion, and loyalty? The overwhelming question of how to choose, who to choose; who other than you? Beauty is the fundamental force that makes creatures care for each other. It may be the karmic law guiding animals to do the right thing, a fundamental force of evolution. Beings without a voice rely on their beauty and displays of loyalty to get what they want. What is beauty? Controversial to discuss. Perhaps a rat sees another and sees they're the same yet the beautiful one's features fit as a whole uniquely.

Regardless of the question of beauty of rats I've chosen my army of cats. Similar looking to rats, cats have a higher order of expression and allure. I'm sorry if I've ruined your love of cats by comparing them but actually I'm not. You can learn to love cats again as well as other creatures now.
Here is my army of cats. I hope to show the variability of the species and their expression. I do think that human beings settle for expressions like smiling that show less than cats in their resting state. I do think it's unfair to judge people with blank expressions as not having expressions because natural expressions can say a lot more than fabricated ones. I also think that natural expressions shouldn't be assumed to be too removed for people to understand. Hopefully my army of cats will show you this. R.I.P. Hugh Hefner.

At the end of it all, I realized these cats revealed something about the human world that was more profound than the rest of it. Maybe we need to look at ourselves and realize why we feel some of the things we do. -11.12.17

Pumpkin shall the halloween cat be named. I love this cat as I love the holiday. The truth of the orange eyes is that they're natural for cats and need no special fake breeding. Pumpkin's eyes display the truth inside of his soul. The military general inside with fire for his cause and fear of failure. These cats' melatonin produces their eyes which to me are the prefect color for cats' eyes and except for alligators, lions, and cougars whose glow at night they are the only ones. The intensity of cats mixed with their warmth means Pumpkin is a symbol of a basic enigma or paradox of cats. Even a small noise can upset cats during rest. How can an animal ready to pounce at any minute get along with others unless they were as cuddly and chill and sleepy as they normally are. Cat's code of ethics is very strict in terms of aggression but they'll easily resort to it if they deem it necessary. Pumpkin's orange eyes show an intensity inside that has been tamed. That's earned trust.

From general to scout to arrive here. There is no trust in these cats eyes. I've lived with a couple of them and they are the least pleasant type I've ever been around. Their tuxedo fur and judging eyes make a lot more messes than they're ever liable to take responsibility for. Perpetually frightened cats of my evil roommates cloud my awareness and remind me that they never trusted them enough to go outside. Forever scouts in the night looking out the window all day and never acknowledging my return. Waiting for their time to pounce or scramble into the underbelly of couches and tables. Expectant of love which also never seemed wanted. They were just like their owners, telling us $10 restaurants were to expensive and always complaining of GMOs. To be honest I sometimes thought these cats wondered what would happen if something got into me and I became a GMO and rampaged through the house. Blasted old roommates. Now I begin to wonder myself if these cats haven't been Genetically Modified because of how unfeline they really were. I call them scout and major because one is afraid and the other ignorant. Incidentally Major was the name of one of them. A scouting cat is one so preoccupied with terror that they impulsively create it. These tuxedo cats hate luxury and are bound to it. They are the formula of super villain.

This Einstein cat is dumbfounded by his creation. You can see the docile excitement in his eyes. But the Einstein look is more interesting to analyze. He found it hard to take things seriously and yet was completely absorbed by his physics. When people say you can never judge a book by its cover because of this photo it's because Einstein's outward expression is one of playful resignation. People assume that you need to be quite driven and passionate to discover truth but it seems more true to me that you have to be able to go with the flow until you have enough inside your head to make the intuitive leaps required of science. Only people are capable of blending information in such a way that a new truth is brought forth. For the cat, a facial expression like that can occur only if its seen the person do amazing things and all they must do is receive. For Einstein, his face seems to wear the marks of an immense intuition that placed him deep inside his subconscious mind.

This cat has the look of my parents' cat Mars. Mars was brought into their house to catch mice. The encouragement must have rubbed off because even two years later my parents still find mutilated birds Mars left at their bedroom door. This comfortable face of a cat with a complex history of torturing is one of justified dominance. Justified more by the treatment of the owner placing him in his lap than the act of domination which is sometimes used to justify itself. "We all play the game...we knew the consequences. I've done better than you so face the consequences." I imagine the cat having messed around with a lizard for a time choosing whether or not to exact his fate in his mental "moment of a lifetime" consideration. The curiosity of domination which attempts to glean its effects on the minds of its prey. Mars our curious cat, whom I mostly love for his humorous hiding, whining ambivalence, playful ambivalence. Curiosity killed the cat? Curiosity is the cat whose emotional distance is playful. If you look closely at the mouth of this cat you might be able to make out his silver teeth which were necessary after all the animals he ate. Justifying domination is primal like when these cats choose to kill and shred the bits of the birds they kill so they can make a scientific observation from their indiscriminate pawing. Perhaps the mentality of domination is best expressed by this cat who does his own best research hunting down animals choosing what do with them. A truer will to power?

This pretty cat with the "alluring" model pose we recognize in our magazines telling us to strive harder towards the greatest beauty of life. A culminating kitten to be sure. Here the pretense of beauty is removed, the kitten is only aware of being treated like a certain strange way when she doesn't care for it at all. This look reminds us that models are just embodying the form of modeling and that "allure" is an ironically detached seriousness mixed with acceptance. There is not much to say about this cat, but you may be able to make out hostility in the right eye and a directness in the left. I suppose a second irony in the model's pose is that the longer the cat sits there the more they become this very look. Over time...This is the face of misery. The photographer has to be tactful, pushing the cat to its tolerable limit. Whatever I know, its that cats know what they like and what they don't like. Allure itself takes the dream of constant striving for beauty and makes it into exactly what it is. Here we have a cat who knows there's a person asking it to stay but doesn't know what it must do to escape. This makes it an embodiment of hatred and allure. For this to be considered an alluring model's pose in human beings shows that human beings have imagination as it regards singling themselves out and pumping their own ego up that they imagine themselves the knight in shining armor. It also shows that allure is a big part of love in that it's accepting the world as a whole the good and the bad.
I can't stop playing this song it's on repeat and I can't write to completion. Of course it belongs at the end...
